To contribute to the nations development ensure comprehensively trained, socially responsible ,Innovative IT engineers of highest quality is the vision of the Information Technology Department The Department of Information Technology was established in 2009. The total intake capacity for the department is 60 per year with a direct second-year entry option introduced in 2010 for an additional 12 students. Admissions are conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra, and the program lasts for three years. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai.
The department is equipped with 05 laboratories and fully equipped with the latest computing facilities. Faculty includes 6 Teaching and 2 Technical Staff members.. The department takes all possible initiatives to strengthen the Industry-Institute relations to provide the right platform for students to bridge up the gaps.
The Information Technology programme addresses the needs of IT industry and generates human resources for challenging positions as it offers an excellent atmosphere for students to learn and acquire the necessary skills. The department has brought out outstanding diploma engineers in the past and will continue in doing so in the years to come. The Department of Information Technology is prepared to meet the challenges and is playing a leadership role in shaping the education of the 21st century by providing unique educational and research opportunities
