To contribute to the nations development   ensure comprehensively trained, socially responsible ,Innovative IT engineers of highest quality is the vision of the Information Technology Department The Department of Information Technology was established in 2009. The total intake capacity for the department is 60 per year with a direct second-year entry option introduced in 2010 for an additional 12 students. Admissions are conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra, and the program lasts for three years. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai.

The department is equipped with 05 laboratories  and fully equipped with the latest computing facilities. Faculty includes 6 Teaching and 2 Technical Staff members.. The department takes all possible initiatives to strengthen the Industry-Institute relations to provide the right platform for students to bridge up the gaps.

The Information Technology programme addresses the needs of IT industry and generates human resources for challenging positions as it offers an excellent atmosphere for students to learn and acquire the necessary skills. The department has brought out outstanding diploma engineers in the past and will continue in doing so in the years to come. The Department of Information Technology  is prepared to meet the challenges and is playing a leadership role in shaping the education of the 21st century by providing unique educational and research opportunities

PEO-1: Provide socially responsible, environment friendly solutions to Information technology related broad-based problems adapting professional ethics.

PEO-2:Adapt state-of-the-art Information Technology broad-based techniques to work in multidisciplinary work environments.

PEO-3:Solve broad-based problems individually and as a team member communicating effectively in the world of work.

Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

PO3 – Design/ development of solutions:
Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

PO4 – Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing:
Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.

PO5 – Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment:
Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

PO6 – Project Management:
Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
