The Department of Computer Engineering Established in the year 2009 supported by well-equipped laboratories. The total intake is of 60 students. The department is fully equipped with latest computing facilities. There is also timely introduction of direct second year in Computer Engineering since 2010 with the intake of 12. The department boasts of a highly qualified. It promotes open source software development and its students have been closely involved with such development projects. The students of this department have brought several laurels to this institute by actively participating and winning several technical competitions of state stature.

To produce diploma computer engineers with socio ethical needs of society and industry and make them capable for life-long learning.

1) To impart Computer Engineering knowledge to fulfill industry and society
needs.

2) To produce Diploma Computer Engineers committed to life-long learning.

3) To promote student for serving industry and society with ethical values.

PEO-1:
To develop the ability among students to understand the concept of core computer subjects that will facilitate understanding of new technology.

PEO-2:
To be employed as engineering technician in fields such as software/hardware, development, testing, deployment, operation and service system.

PEO-3:
To encourage computer engineering diploma student for higher level technical education so that their knowledge will be beneficial for the society.

PO1 – Basic and Discipline specific knowledge:
Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

PO2 – Problem Analysis:
Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

PO3 – Design/ development of solutions:
Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

PO4 – Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing:
Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.

PO5 – Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment:
Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

PO6 – Project Management:
Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

PO7 – Life-long learning:
Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

PSO1:
Apply fundamental knowledge of programming (PIC), basic science and electronics engineering, computing, programming logic to identify, and define the computing systems.

PSO2:
Analyze the computer foundations, algorithmic principles, computer networking architecture, computer programming theory for the modelling, and design of computer hardware in a way that demonstrates the construction of software systems of varying complexity.

PSO3:
Be prepared to work professionally in software industries, able to achieve the higher studies and develop the modern tools and communicate the techniques, skills.
